Richard Flowers founded The Events Company in 1985 and spent four decades establishing it as one of the nation's premier luxury event production firms. Named the "Ultimate Event Planner in Houston" by the Houston Chronicle and selected to serve on Town & Country Magazine's Wedding Advisory Board, Richard was widely regarded as the creative conscience of Houston's most celebrated evenings.
His work touched every corner of the city's cultural and philanthropic life — the Houston Ballet, Houston Grand Opera, Houston Symphony, the Museum of Fine Arts, and 25 legendary years of the San Luis Salute. He was a gentleman, a visionary, and an irreplaceable presence in the lives of the clients, colleagues, and institutions he served.
